Amy Coney Barrett promises 'humility and courage' in Supreme Court role

US President Donald Trump has nominated Amy Coney Barrett, a favourite of social conservatives, to be the new Supreme Court justice.

Her appointment must now be approved by the Senate.

Speaking in the White House rose garden after receiving the president's nomination, she said her aim was to serve all Americans.
