California’s Governor Newsom eases Covid restrictions - why now?
Governor Gavin Newsom has lifted the state’s stay-at-home order as test positivity rates have fallen from 20% - at the height of the surge - to 8%. Deaths due to Covid-19 have not decreased. State residents can now dine outdoors and salons are allowed to open indoors.
