US south hit by heatwave and severe weather

A funnel cloud was spotted over western Oklahoma as severe weather hit the southern US.

At least five people have died since late last week, including three in Texas when a tornado struck the town of Perryton on Thursday.

Severe weather has also caused power outages in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
