Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce said he is humbled by the support fans have shown his new Christmas single, which features his brother, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
The two American football players teamed up off the field for their song Fairytale of Philadelphia, released on Wednesday.
The song made it to the number one spot on iTunes within hours of its release.
Jason Kelce marked his achievement in a post on social media.
"#1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he wrote in a post to X, formerly known as Twitter, accompanied with a gif of an excited Will Ferrell from the movie Elf.
Jason's brother, Travis, has enjoyed a surge in global recognition since he was romantically linked with pop star Taylor Swift.
With the brothers' latest hit, Travis now may become a musical star in his own right.
The song is part of A Philly Special Christmas, Jason Kelce's second Christmas album with his Eagles teammates.
But this year, he managed to talk his brother into recording a duet with him.
The song is a re-written version of the Christmas classic, Fairytale of New York.
In a video posted on Instagram, Jason Kelce said the goal was to transform the original song, which features a romantic duet between Shane MacGowan and Kirsty MacColl, reimagining it as a tune about the relationship between brothers.
"I think it could be a look at the relationship of two brothers and how much you're wrapped up in your family's lives and how much that affects where you end up in life," Jason Kelce said.
The two also used the song as a chance to poke fun at one another, with Travis changing up the lyrics to say to his brother "Happy Christmas, you a**".
The song is a part of annual efforts to raise money for charity. Last year, Jason Kelce and his Eagles teammates raised $1m (£805,000) for local Philadelphia organisations.
Travis' musical debut has left fans wondering if he might take on yet another duet, this time with his super star girlfriend.
