Ashley Judd: Weinstein conviction overturn is a betrayal
Actress Ashley Judd said the decision to overturn disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein's conviction is a "betrayal".
Weinstein's 2020 rape conviction in New York was overturned on Thursday on the basis that he did not receive a fair trial.
Judd is among the women who came forward in a 2017 New York Times article detailing decades of allegations of sexual harassment against Weinstein.
Tarana Burke, the founder of the MeToo movement, said she is "devastated" for survivors - but added that the overturned conviction is not a "blow" to the movement.
