Mariah Carey's husband Nick Cannon rushed to hospital

Mariah Carey's husband, Nick Cannon, has been taken to hospital suffering from what she described as "mild kidney failure".

The couple are on holiday in the ski resort of Aspen, Colorado.

The singer tweeted a picture of herself next to Cannon being treated on a hospital bed.

Mariah Carey wrote on Twitter: "Please pray for Nick as he's fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman."

She later called it a "serious moment that's very tough on all of us".

The pair, who married in 2008, became parents last year of non-identical twins Monroe and Moroccan.
