Ant & Dec 'heavily involved' in US version of Takeaway

Ant and Dec say they're staying "heavily involved" in the upcoming American version of Saturday Night Takeaway.
Despite not hosting the show, they'll be on set to see how US presenter Neil Patrick Harris gets on.
"We will be over there in New York for the beginning of filming," says Ant McPartlin.
"Beginning of September we are going over for a couple of weeks to be around," chips in Declan Donnelly.
"They've already started filming some stuff out there which has gone very well," he says, adding that "everybody is very excited".
The US show will be a similar mix of comedy sketches, game show elements and will involve star guests.
It's getting a new name though - Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris.
It will go out on Tuesdays on NBC, so maybe Tuesday Night Takeaway just didn't quite cut it.
As executive producers, the obvious question is why Ant and Dec aren't fronting the live shows as well.
"We had to make a decision as to whether we sell the format in the States and we don't do it," explains Dec.
"Or we hang on to it until we have time to do it ourselves and pitch it with us involved.
"And we took a decision that it would be better to take the format and take a step back from it."
The pair say they've got their hands full for the next two years hosting Britain's Got Talent, Saturday Night Takeaway and I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
They also haven't forgotten though about their unsuccessful stint on US TV back in 2008, when Wanna Bet was cancelled after six episodes.
Internationally Saturday Night Takeaway has been sold to 10 countries including Lithuania and Portugal.
A French version called Tout Peut Arriver began earlier this year but so far has only produced two episodes before taking a break.
Ant and Dec were not involved in that one though.
"It's weird," says Ant. "Most shows that are successful go to America or get sold around the world in the first couple of seasons but it's taken us like 10 or 11 seasons for it to get picked up."
The pair say Takeaway is the most personal show they do because they helped bring it to life back in 2002.
"We've been involved in Takeaway since day one," says Dec. "Then to pass that over to someone else to go and do it in a different country is a weird old feeling."
"[It's] quite bittersweet," admits Ant. But he says he wishes Neil Patrick Harris "good luck" and that he's "the best host for the show".
