Calvin Harris confirms Taylor Swift wrote This Is What You Came For

Calvin Harris has confirmed his new single was written by ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Rumours had been circulating online that she was the lyricist behind This Is What You Came For, which features Rihanna.

Swift's representative confirmed it to People magazine, external, which the DJ retweeted from his official account.

He wrote, external: "Amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual."

Swift wrote the song under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg.

Calvin tweeted: "I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym.", external

Perhaps annoyed at the way the story about their collaboration came out and was told, the DJ then posted a string of tweets about Swift and her team.

He wrote: "Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though., external

"I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.", external

"I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it.", external

The break-up of Taylor and Calvin has dominated headlines around the world.

Since then, paparazzi has followed Taylor and her apparent new boyfriend - Tom Hiddleston.

The pair have been pictured everywhere together, but has led to speculation and conspiracy theories that their relationship is for a new music video.

Taylor's Twitter is quiet so far and she's given no reaction to Calvin's comments.
