The new series of Celebrity Big Brother has started.

As the celebrities went into the house, there were boos, cheers and there were some very confused faces as to who some of the "famous" people are.

In case you missed the live show and who went in, here are the names of the 15 celebrities.

Aubrey O'Day

Aubrey is a singer and reality TV personality. She's just been on Famously Single on E!

The 32-year-old says she doesn't want to live with "anyone negative, a downer or anyone that complains too much".

She also says that she doesn't want to be around "someone that takes life or themselves too seriously. I like leaders not followers.

"If there's anything that you've seen about me, it's that I'm the rebellious girl."

Christopher Biggins

Christopher is really big in the world of panto. But he's also known as a presenter and TV personality.

The 67-year-old says: "I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and having fun in August."

Chloe Khan

You may not recognise this version of Chloe Khan or even know her by that name, because back in 2010 when she appeared on The X Factor, she went by the name of Chloe Mafia.

After being axed from the show, the 25-year-old became an entrepreneur and set up a webcam business and worked as a glamour model on the side.

She has cash from both jobs, has lived in LA and also likes to fly in private jets these days.

Frankie Grande

If his surname sounds familiar, that's because he's the older half-brother of global superstar Ariana Grande.

Frankie lists Broadway star and YouTuber on his CV.

"I am gay. I am human. I am Frankie. Shine bright like a Frankie."

Grant Bovey

Grant Bovey is probably best known for being Blue Peter presenter Anthea Turner's ex-husband.

He was also a businessman.

But when in comes to entering the house, the 55-year-old says: "Anyone messy would be a nightmare for me.

"I'm borderline OCD and love things to be clean and tidy and in their proper place. And anyone arrogant would drive me mad."

Heavy D

Heavy D is also known as The Boominater in Storage Hunters.

Looks like he's up for being a bit annoying in the house.

"I'd hate to live with another Heavy D because I couldn't wind him up. That would be my worst nightmare."

James Whale

If you've ever had the pleasure of having to get up really early or go to bed really late, then you may have heard James' dulcet tones on the radio in Essex.

He's also been on talkSPORT, London's LBC and BBC Radio Derby.

He was booed a lot as he entered the house.

Katie Waissel

Katie Waissel is another former X Factor member.

She came seventh in the 2010 series, after a shaky audition (where she forgot the words to We Are the Champions), and still managed to make it to the live shows under the tutelage of Cheryl Cole.

The 30-year-old says she's looking forward to the "experience" of the house.

"I love an adventure and this isn't something I've ever done before. I'm excited to see how my life hacks play out in such a different environment to what I'm used to."

Lewis Bloor

You may have seen pictures of Lewis' six pack in the papers recently, but he's actually more famous for being in Towie.

The 26-year-old says: "I'm looking forward to spending the hottest month of the year having one big pool party."

Marnie Simpson

Another reality TV entry comes in the form of Marnie Simpson.

The 24-year-old has made her name on Geordie Shore.

While entering the house, she told host Emma Willis: "I am bisexual, so if there are any girls, I will go there.

"I'm keeping my options open. I need to get in there and see who's there."

Renee Graziano

Renee is part of the Mob Wives TV show in America, which follows a group of Staten Island women after their family members are arrested and imprisoned for crimes that are allegedly connected to the Mafia.

Enough said.

Ricky Norwood

Remember Fatboy from EastEnders?

His real name is Ricky Norwood. He's gone in.

Last year the 27-year-old was axed from the show, with his character killed off in a brutal death which saw him crushed in a car compound.

He insists though that he won't be at the centre of any drama in the house, which is a stone's throw from his former job in Elstree in Hertfordshire.

Saira Khan

"A fierce, feisty pintsized rocket," is how the Loose Woman presenter describes herself.

She was also on The Apprentice.

She was told to take in a pair of earplugs by ex-CBB housemate Nadia Sawalha, but she admitted while going into the house that she forgot to pack them.

Stephen Bear

Bear, as he likes to be called, made his name on MTV's Ex on The Beach.

He describes himself as "Toned, tanned and fit".

Samantha Fox

In the Celebrity Big Brother press pack, Sam Fox is slugged as "The most famous Page 3 girl of all time".

She says: "I'm a big fan of the show and I'm looking forward to meeting new people."
