Campaign to save author Roald Dahl's writing hut

A campaign's been launched to save the place where Roald Dahl wrote many of his classics such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda.

The hut, at the bottom of his garden in Buckinghamshire, hasn't been touched since the author died back in 1990.

But it's now in danger of falling apart because it's so old.

The plan is to raise £500,000 to move everything inside the shed to the Roald Dahl Museum, so it can be kept for fans to enjoy.

Roald Dahl's granddaughter Sophie said: "It is now time for us to save the hut but, even more importantly, to share it."

Some of the many things found inside the hut are a huge ball made from foil sweet wrappers, a big armchair and a green writing board.
