Singer and actor Ariana Grande shared a photo on Wednesday revealing she will be voice acting in a new animated film based on Dr Seuss' Oh, The Places You'll Go!

Singer and actor Ariana Grande is keeping busy - but wants you to know she hasn't forgotten about her music.

The star wowed audiences as the witch Glinda in the two-part film adaptation of the Wicked musical, with the second part due out this November.

Earlier this week, she shared an image on Instagram announcing she'll be starring in an animated adaptation of Dr Seuss' Oh, The Places You'll Go!, with Frozen's Olaf voice-actor Josh Gad.

But on Wednesday, she was reassuring concerned fans that while she's busy with lots of projects, music is still a big part of what she has planned for her future.

"[Very] silly of you all to assume that just because [I] have my hands full with many things that [I] plan to abandon singing & music..." she wrote in a caption to a video of her performing on Instagram.

Ariana's last album, Eternal Sunshine, was released in March 2024.

BBC News spoke to Ariana Grande fan Michael Rodrigues De Jesus, who believes that Ariana's latest Instagram post is hinting at new music and a tour.

He said some fans "are really upset" that Ariana is doing movies.

But he says "it's exciting to see an artist you like doing a lot of things".

We want to know what you think? Do you want Ariana Grande to focus on making more music? Or do you enjoy seeing her do different things?

Oh, The Places You'll Go! is the latest adaptation of a book by children's author Dr Seuss.

In July, Warner Bros. Picture Animation released their first trailer for a new The Cat in the Hat film adaptation.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, another Dr Seuss adaptation called Thing One and Things Two is also in the works, with both films coming out in 2026.

Ariana hasn't confirmed what her role will be in the Oh, The Places You'll Go!.

What we do know is that it's a musical film, and it is set for release March 17, 2028.

Aside from her acting projects, Ariana also has a make-up line.

The singer said that between all her different projects, her music career "may not look exactly like it did before but I much prefer how it looks in my head".
