Royal Mail have unveiled a brand new collection of stamps today featuring 10 different butterfly species from the UK. This stamp features the comma variety.

The butterflies featured on the stamps are a mix of endangered and more common and familiar species. Here are the chalkhill blue, the swallowtail, the red admiral and marbled white butterflies.

Springwatch presenter Michaela Strachan got involved in the unveiling of the stamps. Here she is with the purple emperor stamp - and spot the morpho butterfly in her hand!

Here are the last of the ten stamps featuring the orange-tip, small copper, marsh fritillary and brimstone butterflies. The brimstone is one of the first butterflies of spring.
