"Selfie" has been named as word of the year by Oxford Dictionaries.
The editors said the word is now widely used to describe a self-portrait photograph.

The Oxford Dictionaries define a selfie as "a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically with a smartphone".
The word has been traced back to 2002 when it was used in an Australian online forum, according to Oxford Dictionaries.
