Cheryl Fernandez-Versini says she wants to mix up the contestant categories on The X Factor this year.

The singer is pushing for the format to be changed so that each judge mentors a boy, a girl, a group and an over.

Head judge Simon Cowell has already brought in big changes for 2015, with two new judges - Rita Ora and Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw.

Cheryl said: "I think it's far more exciting, not just for us as judges but also for the viewers at home."
