Why is the Amazon rainforest so important?

World leaders are discussing climate change right now at a meeting called COP30.

The meeting is held every year, but this year, it is being held in a place that's really important for the planet.

It's in a city next to the Amazon, the world's largest tropical rainforest.

Now a key agreement protecting large areas of rainforest is under threat.
