Cute Hello Kitty themed cafe opens in China

The first Hello Kitty themed restaurant has opened in Shanghai in Mainland China, serving cat shaped food and drink.

The cafe is split across two floors with a gift shop and huge models of the famous cat to pose next to.

Many of the food and drinks in the restaurant are Hello Kitty shaped, including hamburgers, and cakes.

However the menu also has some more unusual items on it, like apple pizza and ice-cream castles!

The staff who work at the cafe even have special Hello Kitty uniforms.

Liu Jiaqi who visited the restaurant, said the food was good but just too cute to eat.

The cafe was designed and approved by Hello Kitty's current artist Yuko Yamaguchi.

Although this restaurant is the first one of its kind in Mainland China, a Hello Kitty restaurant already exists in Hong Kong.
