Let's get celestial! Princess Peach and Mario are heading into space
After helping to save the Mushroom Kingdom from Bowser in the last movie, this time around Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad will be heading into space.
The trailer also introduced that two fan-favourite characters - Rosalina and Bowser Jr - would be joining the new movie.
Rosalina will be voiced by Brie Larson (who played Captain Marvel) and Bowser Jr. by Benny Safdie.
Bowser Jr will be the main villain for the movie, as he sets out to rescue his dad, who is being held captive by Mario and Luigi, after he ate a shrinking mushroom at the end of the first movie.

Bowser Jr and Rosalina are joining Mario and the gang in the movie
Fans of the video games might also have spotted some references and easter eggs in the trailer.
The first one is a shot of Mario and Luigi riding motorbikes in a desert with an upside down pyramid in the distance. Fans think this might be the Sand Kingdom from the Super Mario Odyssey game.
Next, Princess Peach can be seen fighting lots of Ninjis in a neon casino area, which could be a nod to Ninji Jump Party in Super Mario Bros Wonder, and the Sirena Beach Casino in Super Mario Sunshine.
Later in the trailer, Bowser Jr seems to take on a mysterious dark, goopy appearance, waving a magic paintbrush, which could be a reference to his special Wonder mode in Super Mario Bros Wonder.
Finally we see Rosalina battling a giant robot called the Megaleg - which will be familiar to fans of the Super Mario Galaxy game - using her space magic.
