The Chengdu panda research base in China has welcomed its first batch of panda twins for 2016.

The two female cubs are the first young born to mother Yali at the base located in the capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The cubs are being kept in an incubator and only taken out every so often to be fed.

They don't have names yet but when they were born the pandas only weighed 144 grams and 113 grams - that's tiny.
