Tasty manor house made from gingerbread and icing

This model of Waddesdon Manor, a stately home in Buckinghamshire, is quite different from the witch's gingerbread house in Hansel and Gretel. This one was made by 'biscuit architects' out of gingerbread and icing and is two metres long.
The design team started work over 15 months ago and it took over 500 hours to make. Check out the detail in the dining room with napkins laid out ready for a feast.
The real life Waddesdon Manor was built in the 1870s and they tried to make this entirely edible version look exactly the same... Just smaller and sweet-smelling!
This is the Portico bedroom. The whole model was built by hand by two icers in one of the Biscuiteer's icing shops in London.
They used 240 eggs and 216kg of icing! All that icing sounds a bit much, even for a sweet tooth, but the State bedroom looks pretty yummy.
And so does the games room! It looks good enough to eat!
