Toys R Us shops to close down

You've probably been to a Toys R Us at some point in your life.

But in six weeks time these shops will no longer exist because all 100 UK stores are closing down.

Around 25 branches of Toys R Us are closed already, or will be closing over the next few days.

Stores stopped accepting gift cards on 11th March.

Why is Toys R Us closing?

Well put simply it's down to money problems.

The American company that owns Toys R Us have been trying to find a buyer for the UK stores.

But they haven't been able to. So instead they're going to have to close them.

This means more than 3,000 people will lose their jobs.
