Which celebrities will be dancing?

Susannah Constantine

TV stylist Susannah Constantine is the latest star to waltz onto this year's Strictly Come Dancing line-up.

Constantine made her name hosting fashion shows like What Not To Wear.

She said: "I am sick with nerves and jangling with excitement, and I'm starting from a very low bar. That's fine because I can only improve."

Charles Venn

Actor Charles Venn is known for playing nurse Jacob Masters in the BBC medical drama Casualty.

The actor also played Ray Dixon in EastEnders from 2012-13.

He said: "It truly is a pleasure to be a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, to be associated with a show that has such a huge following excites and scares me in equal measure.

"Dancing on Strictly is going to be quite a challenge but life's all about testing yourself so there's lots to look forward to. Let the games begin!"

Lauren Steadman

Lauren is used to training, but of a different sort...

Lauren Steadman is a double world champion paratriathlete and a silver medallist from the Rio Paralympic Games.

She was born missing her lower right arm and has been competing internationally since she was 13.

She said she probably wouldn't wear a prosthetic because "maybe with a spin it would fly off somewhere".

Lee Ryan

Singer and actor Lee Ryan, who rose to fame in the band Blue, is the twelfth celebrity contestant confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing.

Ryan, who has also been seen on screen in BBC One soap EastEnders, was announced on ITV's Loose Women.

He said: "I was nervous. Even to say yes."

The 35-year-old also said he has been hitting the gym, saying: "I've been boxing loads just trying to get my weight down."

Seann Walsh

Comedian Seann Walsh is another celeb to put on his dancing shoes.

His appearance was confirmed on Friday's One Show.

Seann said: "Having seen videos of me dancing on friends' phones from the night before, it's safe to say I'm petrified but also so excited. I'm really looking forward to the lifts, the Lycra and the laughs, although as Craig would probably say 'dancing is no laughing matter dahhhhling…'"

Kate Silverton

BBC newsreader Kate Silverton is the tenth celebrity contestant taking part in the show, swapping the newsroom for the ballroom.

She said: "I am so looking forward to the fun, laughter and all the challenges ahead."

Ashley Roberts

Singer, presenter and ex-Pussycat Doll member Ashley Roberts has been added to the line up of this year's Strictly.

Ashley has already taken part in I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here and The Jump. She was even a judge for two seasons of Dancing on Ice.

The news was revealed on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 earlier than expected.

Ashley said: "I am beyond excited and grateful to be part of the Strictly family! I'm going to put my heart and soul into this new adventure and can't wait to have fun with the team! Bring on the sequins, glitz and glamour!"

Stacey Dooley

TV presenter Stacey Dooley was the eighth celebrity contestant confirmed.

Stacey is best known for presenting CBBC's The Pets Factor and a series of hard-hitting shows called Stacey Dooley Investigates on BBC Three.

She said: "It's happening! I'm taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this year and my mother is going to explode.

"Typically, work for me is very serious and can be quite hard core so I'm going to soak up the escapism and bathe in the sequins. See you on the dancefloor!"

Dr Ranj Singh

Dr Ranj Singh is the seventh celebrity to be added to the line-up

Stacey will be joined in the Strictly line-up by none other than CBeebies presenter Dr Ranj Singh!

"I'm so overwhelmed and excited to be part of this wonderful show. It's an absolute dream come true for me!" he said.

"I've been a massive fan for so long and I can't quite believe this is happening, but I'm going to give it my best shot."

"Anyone that knows me knows that I love a bit of sparkle... so bring on the glitter! I can't wait!" he added.

Well, one thing's for sure, Dr Ranj - there will definitely be plenty of glitter and sparkle this autumn!

Graeme Swann

Former England cricketer Graeme Swann will be swapping cricket balls for glitter balls

One of England's most famous cricketers and spin bowlers, Graeme Swann, was announced on Wednesday evening as the sixth contestant to be taking part.

Graeme admits: "I don't have any background in dancing but can do the floss so let's hope this comes in useful!"

"Keeping it under wraps from my kids has been nearly impossible. They are huge fans of the show and I can't wait to see their faces when I tell them."

Let's hope he rises from the ashes to ace a spin on the dancefloor!

Vick Hope

Capital DJ Vick Hope has been announced as the fifth celebrity taking part in Strictly

Before it was announced that Graeme would be joining the show, the latest news was that Capital Radio presenter Vick Hope would be joining the celebrities.

"I'm so excited about being a contestant on this year's Strictly. I've always been such a massive fan of the show so it's a huge honour to be part of this series," Hope said.

"I couldn't be looking forward to it anymore and I will be throwing myself into it, working hard and learning from the judges every week."

The news was announced as she presented the Capital Breakfast show on the radio on Wednesday.

Joe Sugg

Joe will be swapping vlogging for the Viennese Waltz

Another celebrity in the line-up for this year is British YouTuber Joe Sugg.

Sugg is a filmmaker, author and vlogger with over 25 million followers online.

Joe said, "I'm honestly so chuffed to be involved in the show this year! Not going to lie, I'm very nervous about it, it's totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that's what life is all about I guess."

Faye Tozer

Singer Faye Tozer will also be putting on their dancing shoes.

Tozer - who rose to fame in 1997 as a member of the British pop group Steps - described being on Strictly as "a dream come true" and promised to "relish every moment".

Danny John-Jules

John-Jules is best known for his acting roles as the policeman Dwayne Myers in the BBC crime drama Death In Paradise, and Cat in the sci-fi comedy Red Dwarf.

He said he was "absolutely delighted" at the chance of performing in "glittery spandex".

Katie Piper

Katie Piper is the first Strictly contestant to be announced

The first celebrity who was announced was model, campaigner and presenter Katie Piper.

Katie became known to us all after she was attacked in 2008 and decided that she was going to raise awareness of what burn victims have to deal with by taking part in a documentary about her life.

Other contestants will be revealed in the coming days, so watch this space.

When's it back?

Strictly Come Dancing begins on BBC One on 8 September.

First, we'll get to meet the contestants in a launch show and then the weekly dance shows will begin.

Preparations are clearly in full swing. Presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman gave fans a sneak peak at their glamorous photo shoot ahead of the launch on social media.

Shirley Ballas once again heads up the panel of judges.

Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood complete the line-up of experts.

Brendan Cole announced his shock departure earlier in the year - and Chloe Hewitt is also out.

But in their place are three new dancers.

They are Sicilian-born Graziano Di Prima, Johannes Radebe from South Africa and Luba Mushtuk form Russia.
