Freak weather causes extreme hailstorm in Italy

Schools have been closed in Italy after an extreme storm and wintery weather.

After along spell of hot weather, temperatures plummeted with buildings in the Italian capital, Rome damaged from a major hailstorm and torrential rains.

With cars and vehicles stranded in thick ice, fire fighters were called out to help people across the country.
