However, fans of Animal Crossing might have been sad to find out that the game that they were expecting to be released this year on Switch will now be delayed until March 2020.

The new Animal Crossing game will see players crafting tools, cleaning up after their neighbours and making their island home look as pretty as possible.

More game previews were shown including another Zelda game called Link's Awakening and the Super Mario Maker 2.

There were more surprises in store from Nintendo. A brand new Luigi's Mansion game featuring a bizarre new character - Gooigi.

Gooigi is a gooey version of Luigi who helps him in the haunted mansion adventure game. No, we're not making this up.

There is also another Marvel Avengers game coming, one to rival Square Enix's game that was announced earlier this week.

It's called Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order.

Fans of Nintendo were also pleased to see the introduction of familiar faces Banjo and Kazooie to the Super Mario Smash Bro. game. These characters date from more than 20 years ago!

However, there was some disappointment with the new Pokémon Sword and Shield reveal, as the developers revealed that the full 800 Pokémon will not be available in the new games.

Basically, you won't be able to play with all the Pokémon you collected in the Pokémon Let's Go Eevee and Pikachu games in the new Sword and Shield games, though you can still transfer some of them over.

What is next in the E3 schedule?

Big players like Sony Playstation and EA have pulled out this year, saying that they will find other ways of promoting new products to their audience.

Some think that E3 conferences are a bit old-fashioned now that there are platforms like Twitch and YouTube on which to announce new releases.

But there seems to be plenty of E3 fans who disagree.

There are no more big announcements expected from the E3 convention, but the event will keep going until Thursday so there might still be some surprise reveals?
