Over 100 different hot air balloons were featured at the fiesta over the four days the event was held.

The balloons made for some pretty impressive views for local residents!

The hot air balloons may look tiny when they're up in the sky, but they're actually huge! A typical balloon can be about 50 to 60 feet wide and up to a whopping 80 feet high!

There were lots of brightly coloured balloons making the skies look very vibrant.

One special character was spotted this year - can you see it? It's one of the minions of course!

So how do you actually get a hot air balloon up in the sky? Well, the way they work is based on one simple concept - hot air rises in cooler air...

Hot air balloons need a constant stream of warmer air to keep them rising. This is done through the use of a burner positioned under the parachute-like part of the balloon known as the envelope.

Many of the modern hot air balloons we see today heat the air by burning a substance known as propane, which is a gas often used for outdoor cooking.

Did you know that hot air balloons can reach heights of around 3,000 feet!

How cool does this black cat inspired hot air balloon look? It's ah-meow-zing!
