Brighton and Hove city council has voted to build a new football stadium for Brighton's women's team, which will be the first of its kind in England.
Women's teams often have to use the men's stadiums or training grounds to play in, whereas this new stadium will be just for Brighton and Hove Albion Women.
As well as it being a huge deal for women's football, it's good news for the Brighton squad as up until now they've been playing and training in Crawley, 20 miles outside of the city centre.
Head coach Melissa Phillips said: "It is encouraging the council are supporting their motion to help us find a suitable location to return to the city.
"This is another massive first step in our journey back to Brighton and we are excited for what is ahead for this club, community, and team."
They have two nicknames: The Seagulls and The Albion
They first entered the WSL in 2018
The highest they've ever finished in the WSL is 6th, which they achieved in the 2020-21 season
Zoe Johnson, managing director of women's and girls' football at the club, said she's delighted at Brighton council's decision:
"We believe that this is another positive step in the right direction for women's football within the Sussex community. We understand that it will take time, and we look forward to working with the council to ensure that we can bring the women's team to Brighton on a permanent basis," she said.
Brighton are currently 9th in the Women's Super League (WSL). There is no date yet for when the stadium will be completed.
