Joel from the US has broken the World Record for the most candy canes in a beard. Can you guess how many he squeezed in there? It's a whopping 187! You'll be pleased to hear they were kept in their wrappers and Joel said: “My kids loved the candy canes the most cause I let them eat them after. They’re only slightly beardy.” It's not the first festive record Joel has broken with his beard - keep reading to find out what other records he's achieved.
It's not just humans that can break records, Ghost has broken the record for the most tricks performed by a cow in one minute. One snowy day in Nebraska, Ghost managed to perform 10 'udderly' amazing tricks including spin, bow and kiss. Her owner and trainer, Megan, said: "“I knew Ghost was special from the very first moment."
How many Santas is too many? Well a total of 18,112 people dressed up as the big guy in India, making it the largest gathering of Santa Claus' ever. It happened back in 2014 during the cultural festival of Buon Natale and no one else has managed to beat the record. Buon Natale has happened nearly every year since 2013 in Thrissur city, in the state of Kerala, and reunites people from different churches.
Can you imagine a chain of sleds that's longer than a football pitch? Well you don't need to because these people at a ski resort in Austria created a chain that was around 750m long back in 2017. It was made up of 508 sleds which is more than 400 more than they needed to break the record. And it didn't just stay still, it even slid down the slope which was covered in fresh, white snow.
And finally, the beard man is back - this time breaking the record for the most beard baubles in a beard. He broke his previous record of 686 baubles with a grand total of 710 ornaments. It took him more than two hours to jazz up his facial hair and another hour to remove them all. Safe to say, Joel is the expert at putting things in his beard. His other records include most forks in a beard (126), most chopsticks in a beard (520) and the most paper straws in a beard.
