Grammys: Swift wins album of the year for record fourth time

Taylor Swift broke a record at this year's Grammy Awards after winning her fourth album of the year award, becoming the first artist in history to do so.

The singer-songwriter picked up the award for her latest album, Midnights.

In her acceptance speech, Taylor told the audience how happy her career made her, saying, "All I want to do is keep being able to do this. I love it so much. It makes me so happy."

Minutes after winning the award, she announced her next studio album - The Tortured Poets Society.

What is the Grammy Awards show?

The Grammy Awards, sometimes just called the Grammys, are a massive awards show for the music industry.

Grammy is short for gramophone, an old-fashioned kind of music player.

The awards cover lots of different kinds of music, from pop to rap and hip-hop.

This year was the 66th Grammy Awards, and it had 94 different categories in total.

Who were the Grammy Awards big winners?

Taylor was not the only big winner at the Grammy Awards - Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas picked up an award for song of the year.

The pair received their Grammy for What Was I Made For?, one of the songs featured in the summer blockbuster film Barbie.

And Miley Cyrus picked up her first Grammys ever; her song Flowers won record of the year and best pop solo performance.

While accepting the award for record of the year Miley said while awards were important to her and her team, they don't mean everything.

"Not everyone in the world will win a Grammy, but everyone in the world is spectacular," she said.

Dua Lipa, whose song Dance the Night was also up for song of the year, opened the Grammys singing a medley of some of her most popular songs.

And Olivia Rodrigo performed her hit record, Vampire.

While many were celebrating their wins, rapper Jay-Z criticised the Grammys for their decision-making.

Accepting the Dr Dre Global Impact award alongside his daughter Blue Ivy, Jay-Z criticised the Grammys for never giving his wife Beyoncé album of the year.

"I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than anyone and never won album of the year."

To date, Beyoncé has won 32 Grammy Awards - more than any other artist in history.
