Ryan and Amani are this year's Dancing On Ice champions!

Former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas and his skating partner Amani Fancy were crowned champions of Dancing On Ice this year.

Ryan dedicated his win to former Olympic athlete Greg Rutherford, who had to pull out of Sunday's final after injuring himself during rehearsals.

"Listen Greg, if you're watching this at home, this trophy is for you mate." said Ryan. "I'm so happy, thank you to the public at home, the only reason I'm here is because of you guys, so thank you for all your love and support."

Reality star Miles Nazaire, came in second place, and broadcaster Adele Roberts, placed third, in ITV's ice-skating contest.

Ryan's dramatic warrior-inspired skate earned him full points!

During Sunday's final, Greg, Miles and Adele all gave one final special performance with Ryan and Miles both performing routines inspired by Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean's famous "Bolero" which won them an Olympic gold medal in 1984.

Jayne Torvill called Ryan's performance "beautiful", adding: "I loved all the little moments from the original routine, it was seamless, well done."

Ryan also gave a dramatic warrior-themed performance to "Believer" by Imagine Dragons, which featured lifts and spins and earned him a perfect score of 40 points from the judges.

Judge Dean said: "You put your heart and soul into that right from the beginning, you left it all out there on the ice."

Vanessa shared the news that Greg had been injured.

Greg Rutherford said he was "devastated" to miss out, saying it was a "nightmare way for this to finish".

His show partner, Vanessa James shared an update on her social media on Sunday morning saying that Greg had hurt himself during rehearsals and was being taken to hospital to be checked over.

In a statement, ITV said: "Greg and Vanessa have been such a popular couple this series and have performed some truly memorable routines.

"We will be helping to support Greg and wish him well with his recovery. We also want to thank him for being such a treasured member of the Dancing on Ice family."
