Avatar: The Last Airbender characters coming to Fortnite

Expect to see Aang and the gang touching down in the game soon

If you play Fortnite, then don't be surprised if you see more characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender running around the map.

Epic, the creators behind the game, have added several new skins from the series for players to purchase and use in-game.

One of the characters from the Avatar franchise, Korra, was included in this season's Battle Pass - Myths & Mortals.

Three more have now been added to the game with a playable event set to start 12 April.

Korra is already a part of the Fortnite universe

The current Fortnite season is based around Greek mythology and features a number of Greek gods including Poseidon - the god of the sea.

Some of the characters in the Avatar universe have special powers which allow them to manipulate elements like earth, wind, fire and water.

Epic suggested that as an Avatar and Waterbender, Korra could challenge him for the title of Master of the Waters.

Her bending art was added to the game for players to use as a Mythic item and others are expected to be added to the Fortnite universe too.

Players can also purchase skins of Katara who is a Waterbender, Toph an Earthbender and Zuko who can bend fire.

A trailer released by the game's creators appears to show the original series' main character Aang trapped in ice, suggesting his character will be featured in Fortnite too.

In the series and films, Aang is a young boy who can control the elements earth, wind, water and fire.

While buying add-ons like Fortnite skins for your game can be fun, spending can build up over time and cost the bill payer a lot of money.

And a report by the Children's Commissioner in 2019 found that some players feel pressured by the games they play to spend money.

But Fortnite have also announced an in-game playable event is free to play, and starts on 12 April called Avatar: Elements.

And with the inclusion of a Firebender and Earthbender in the latest update, there is a high chance that all players will be able to use these arts in-game soon.
