The stamps have been made to celebrate Royal Mail dog week, which is the first week of July.

The full list of animals includes Dalmatian, Jack Russell-type terrier, Labrador Retriever, Border Collie, Whippet, Siberian Husky, Chihuahua, Cocker Spaniel, Pembroke Welsh Corgi and Pug.

Royal Mail say a third of UK households have pet dogs, which is close to the figure reported by the pet charity PDSA who found that in 2023 29% of adults in the UK owned a dog.

Royal Mail's director of external affairs and policy said: "British people are known for their love of animals, and especially dogs."

"We hope that these beautiful stamps will bring added joy when they drop through people's letterboxes on cards and letters."

The postal service often make special stamps for certain celebrations and festivals, like Christmas and Easter. They also make stamps which feature famous faces for anniversaries.

Some people choose to collect stamps, and love to hunt for rare ones.
