How long do you spend on your smartphone?

If you have a smartphone, do you know how many hours you spend on it per day?
Well, back in April, some high school students took on a challenge to reduce the amount of time they spend using their smartphones.
Some of the pupils spent up to 14 hours per day using social media apps and playing games.
After three weeks, most of the teens had more than halved the hours they spent on their phones, and six months later, many of them had kept it up.
One teacher at the school said they felt society had "hit a point of maximum [smartphone] usage", and wanted to address this by challenging not only the pupils to put their phones down but looking at how much time they spent on theirs too.
Do you think people with devices should monitor their smartphone usage?

A recent report by the World Health Organisation (WHO) says there has been a sharp rise in 'problematic' social media use amongst some teenagers, not just in the UK, but around the world.
They said some teens say they struggle to take time away from their phones and that they would rather be meeting friends or going outside to play.
But the report also says online connections are just as strong.
The WHO wants to educate young people on how to use social media in a healthy way and says app creators need to put limits on who can use them at young ages.
