Dani took part in the launch show alongside the 14 other celebrities
Dani made an appearance with the other celebrities in the pre-recorded launch show which went out on Saturday.
She said: "I had a fall on Friday in rehearsals and landed funny.
"I thought I had rolled my foot but it swelled up badly over the weekend and... it turns out I have fractured my ankle.
"Apparently doing the quickstep on a fracture is not advisable (!!) and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance so l've had to pull out of the show."
She added: "I am so going to miss dancing with Nikita but will of course be watching closely and cheering all the couples on."

The show is back on TV on Saturday nights
In a video on social media she also said she was "heartbroken" at having to leave the show, adding: "I was having the best time ever."
Responding to the news on social media, Strictly professional Dianne Buswell wrote: "I'm so sorry Dani and Nikita. We will miss you so much xx."
Judge Shirley Ballas also sent a message saying: "I'm so so sorry. But health is most important. Get well soon Angel."
Dani is the second celebrity to pull out after actor Kristian Nairn withdrew early on and was replaced with Emmerdale's Lewis Cope.
