More than 100 people in dinosaur costumes descended on a popular beach for an annual event to raise money for charity.
The second Chase the Dinosaur event took place on Weymouth Beach in Dorset on Saturday after the first event last year.
There were four separate races - a 5 kilometre (km) run for adults, 2km for under 16s, 1km for under 11s and a short race for preschool-age children.
The event also included animatronic dinosaur shows and the reveal of the first phase of the Weymouth Fossil Trail, a fossil hunt through the town.

This was the second time the race has taken place and organisers aim to hold it annually

People of all ages took part in the races and were encouraged to dress up in dino costumes to join in the fun

There were four races in total, three for children and one for adults. The idea is to celebrate the areas connection to the Jurassic Period when dinos roamed there.

There were also animatronic dinosaurs roaming about the seafront marking the opening of a brand new dino trail... but also trying to make people jump!

Hundreds of people took part in the races and hundreds more turned up to watch
