What's your favourite thing to watch at this time of year?

There's so much to look forward to at Christmas time, whether that's food, family or friends... but what about films?

A new poll has revealed what the UK's favourite festive films are, and the winner is a Christmas classic.

Home Alone was crowned the top Christmas film in a survey of 2,000 people by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), who are responsible for age ratings in the UK.

But what's your favourite Christmas film? Have your say in the vote below.

Home Alone was released back in 1990 and stars Macaulay Culkin as a child who has been left behind at Christmas.

The boss of the BBFC, David Austin, said that the film topping the charts is proof that "heart-warming, family-friendly stories continue to sit at the heart of the nation's Christmas viewing traditions."

Home Alone had good company at the top, with classics like Elf coming in at fourth place.

But when is the best time to start watching Christmas films?

Over 40% of the respondents to the poll said that it's acceptable to start watching movies like Home Alone and Elf from the beginning of December.

But over 10% said that the beginning of November was fine, and another group of just under 10% said they enjoy festive films all year round.
