Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope - it's Superman flying high above London!

Okay, not really Superman… but a giant model of the superhero.

The statue, which stands at 11 feet tall and weighs more than 120 kilograms, was suspended at the top of The Shard building in London on Tuesday.

The figure was created to promote a new Superman film which comes out later this month.

The UK's tallest building, The Shard, is a supertall pyramid-shaped skyscraper which is also the seventh highest in Europe.

Standing 309.6 metres (1,016 feet) high, it's more than three times as tall as Big Ben's Elizabeth Tower.

The Superman statue was suspended by wire at roughly 1000 feet, just above the skyscraper's viewing platform - for a one-day only spectacle.

Three of the actors from the latest film, David Corenswet (Superman), Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), and Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor), also made an appearance and stood below the model.
