How has the world reacted to Donald Trump's election win?

Donald Trump is set to become the 47th President of the United States.
Leaders around the world have started sending their congratulations to Trump.
The US is one of the most influential countries on the planet and people all around the world have been waiting to find out who will win.
A new president doesn't just affect the US because whoever is in charge will have relationships with leaders across the globe.

Keir Starmer, the UK's prime minister, congratulated Donald Trump saying:
"Congratulations President-elect on your historic election victory.
"I look forward to working with you in the years ahead."
The US and the UK are considered to have a special relationship.
Back in 2019 Trump described it as "the greatest alliance the world has ever known". That was when the Conservative party was in charge and Theresa May was Prime Minister.
In Donald Trump's victory speech in Florida, he vowed to "stop wars".
Ukraine is still at war with Russia. Their president, Volodomyr Zelenskyy, has congratulated Trump on his "impressive election victory" saying:
"We look forward to an era of a strong United States of America under President Trump’s decisive leadership."
There is also fighting in the Middle East.
Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has called the election "history's greatest comeback".
He and the former President Joe Biden had a difficult relationship.
Netanyahu added that Trump's "historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America," he added.
French President Emmanuel Macron was in power when Donald Trump was US president four years ago.
He told Trump he is ready to work together just as before, "with respect and ambition. For more peace and prosperity".
Macron added that he had spoken with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz about working together to make sure they would defend Europe's interests and values.
