World Book Day 2025: Your incredible costumes

Children dressed up as: Dog Man, Miss Trunchball, Kiki and Paddington Bear

Prepare yourself to see some utterly awesome World Book Day costumes!

You've been uploading your character creations from authors like Roald Dahl and Dav Pilkey.

Your outfits range from bears to queens to intergalactic Jedi knights.

And it's not too late to send in your picture.

Scouty is standing in front of a front door. She is wearing a grey dress, white socks, red shoes and a red bow in her hair. She is holding a broomstick and in her orange bag, which goes across her body, there is a black cat plushie and the book.

Scouty has dressed as Kiki from Kiki's Delivery Service for World Book Day. She wished she could take her pet black cat Dot to school with her!

Adrian is wearing a green headpiece made from cardboard in the shape of an alligator head. He is holding an InvestiGators coming in one hand.

Well this is a curious looking croc - sorry, alligator! Adrian has dressed up as Mango from the InvestiGators Comic. Can you see out of that thing?

Lyra is wearing a sand coloured top, light brown trousers and a brown belt. They have shoulder length blonder hair and are holding a blue lightsaber

Lyra has transformed into Luke Skywalker from Star Wars for World Book Day. They have swimming with school in the afternoon at the local pool and says it's going to be funny to have so many different book characters walk into the swimming pool.

Tango is wearing a beige tracksuit with white underpants over the top. They are wearing a red cap and holding a plunger in one hand and a home made sign that says 'Tra-la-laaaaa' in the other

Tango sent in this picture of them dressed up as Captain Underpants. That's a pretty big plunger!

Charlotte has her hair scraped into a bun with a mean stare into the camera. She is wearing black trousers and a grey sweatshirt saying '1972 Olympics' on it and a belt around her middle. She is also carrying a shot put.

Watch out for your pigtails if you see Charlotte today. She's dressed up as the terrifying Miss Trunchbull and doing an awfully good job of perfecting that mean stare!

Paddington Bear's face and hat is sitting on top of Dylan's head as part of a headpiece. He is also wearing a blue top with toggles and a label, just like Paddington Bear

Is there a marmalade sandwich hiding under that hat? Dylan is Paddington Bear for World Book Day.

Matthew wants to make magic at his school today. He's dressed up as the one and only Harry Potter.
