Last night the annual National Television Awards (NTAs) were held at The O2 in London to celebrate the best TV from the past year. Let's take a look at who took home the biggest trophies!

Ant and Dec broke NTA records by continuing their winning streak for a 23rd year. They picked up the TV presenter award yet again, with Dec saying: "Thank you - it's really hard to put into words just how this feels and what it means to us that you take the time to vote for us."

The presenting pair had to fend off a fake interruption from Bradley Walsh, host of The Chase and former Doctor Who companion, as they went up to collect their award. Ant joked that one day they won't collect the award, but said that it was a "joy" to win again.

It was also a big night for Strictly Come Dancing, winning best talent show with the 2024 series just around the corner. It comes after Strictly has pledged to make changes after complaints were made about the behaviour of previous dancers on the show.

ITV's Mr Bates vs The Post Office won best new drama at the NTAs. The programme brought the Post Office scandal back into the news, in which hundreds of sub-postmasters were accused of stealing, and in some cases sent to prison, when they hadn't done anything wrong. Former Post Office worker and campaigner Jo Hamilton made a passionate speech calling for justice.

The expert award went to Sir David Attenborough, presenter and wildlife explorer known for his awe-inspiring documentaries. This picture is from Sir David's 2018 win - he couldn't be at the ceremony so BBC producer Mike Gunton accepted it on his behalf.
