Welcome is a book about how you can be a good friend and how we can all help others to feel welcome.

It's filled with his distinctive drawings and charming animal characters.

Did you know Axel Scheffler was actually rejected from the art school that he first applied to in Germany, but when he moved to the UK he got a place at the Bath Academy of Art and decided to become an illustrator.

He's now illustrated over 200 books!
