Gladiators, ready... to recover?

Three Gladiators have posted on social media that they are recovering from injuries that happened during filming for the new series.

Legend, Diamond and Bionic have all thanked fans for their support, while letting them know what has happened.

The third series of Gladiators has been filmed over the summer in Sheffield, ahead of it returning to Saturday nights on BBC One in 2026.

In a video on his social media, Legend said that he'd torn a tendon in his arm whilst competing with a contender.

Saying that the fact that Gladiators is "intense" and "real" makes it one of the best shows,

Legend said he was "devastated" not to be able to compete in all the games after his injury.

He confirmed that he was able to stay involved in the series in a "non-competitive way" - meaning he'll still be in the show but won't be in all the games.

Diamond

Diamond has been suffering from knee and leg injuries, including an ACL injury, which is something that lots of female footballers have been dealing with too.

Writing on her social media account that she'd sustained the injury during filming, Diamond posted: "It's never easy hitting pause on something you love, but this isn't the end of my journey — it's just a detour."

Bionic

Bionic posted on social media that he has had a shoulder operation after his injury, and is determined to come back "better than ever".

He wrote that it's "tough when you get injured and have to sit on the sidelines for the rest of the series, when all you want to do is get out there, perform and entertain for anybody who watches the show."

But adding that "setbacks are part of the journey", he's focussed on returning to action as soon as he can.
