Ready for your close-up? Some amazingly detailed pictures are up for awards in the Close-up Photographer of the Year (CUPOTY) competition.
The photo competition has had over 12,000 entries and judges have been busy putting together the shortlisted pictures that will be up for the final awards.
The shortlist will then be whittled down further in January next year, before the overall winners are chosen.

The nominated photos are put into 12 categories, including animals, insects, plants, and underwater pictures.
The overall winner will take home a cash prize of £2,500, as well as a high tech camera, while the winners of each category will get £250.
