Olympics comes to Mount Everest

They say making it to the Olympics and winning a medal is like climbing a massive mountain.

Explorer and adventurer Kenton Cool is combining those ideas and setting off on a mission to put a gold medal on the summit of Mount Everest.

He wants to honour an Olympic pledge made nearly 90 years ago by climbing the mountain.

The gold medal was awarded to a member of the British Everest Expedition in 1924.

But the climbers never reached the top because there was a huge avalanche and seven people lost their lives.

It will be the 10th time Kenton has climbed Mount Everest.
