Mission to the ISS: Tim Peake's journey

Astronaut Tim Peake has successfully blasted off into space!

Tim has been in training for his special mission for six years, and will now become the first British astronaut to board the International Space Station (ISS).

After waving goodbye to his family this morning, Tim climbed on board the rocket and set course for the ISS.
