Giant lizard takes over supermarket in Thailand

A giant monitor lizard stunned shoppers in Thailand when he walked through the front door of a Tesco store in Ban Khlong Nung.

Staff and customers tried to move the creature, known as a Varanus, out of the shop.

However this amphibian didn't want to leave, and swung his tail when staff tried to use display boards to guide him outside.

Eventually the lizard ended his unexpected shopping trip, and walked out into the car park.
