Scotland's Lynsey Sharp has qualified for this summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow after winning the 800m at the Grand Prix City Lokeren.

The 23-year-old's time of 2:02.42 breached the qualifying mark, and was two seconds faster than runner-up Mathias Charline of Luxembourg.

The event in Belgium was one of three more opportunities Sharp had to make the required time for Glasgow 2014.

And after the race, she tweeted, external: "I DID IT!!!!!! SEE YOU ALL IN GLASGOW."

Sharp is the current European champion and has had surgery twice in the last year to resolve a painful leg tendon injury.
