Coach Matthew Mott taking on new elite role at Glamorgan

Glamorgan have announced Matthew Mott has moved from coach to head of elite performance in charge of first team affairs.

Former managing director of cricket Colin Metson will take on new role of community and cricket development manager.

In the club's "organisational review" operations director Simon Lee has been made redundant.

Mott and Metson will both report to Glamorgan's chief executive Alan Hamer.

On the redundancy of Lee after three years in the post, external Hamer said: "I'd like to thank Simon for his outstanding contribution to the club during the past three years.

"He leaves the club's operations department in very good shape.

"Whilst it is regrettable to lose such a valued member of my team, I am grateful for his continued support and professionalism and on behalf of everyone at Glamorgan.

"I wish him well for the future and look forward to seeing him back at the Swalec Stadium again in the near future."
