Carberry in control as Scotland lose to Hampshire

Hampshire opener Michael Carberry cruised to an impressive 148 not out as Scotland lost their Clydesdale Bank 40 visit to the Ageas Bowl by six wickets.
The visitors posted a score of 230 for nine, with Majid Haq 53 not out and Preston Mommsen making 48.
Scotland skipper Gordon Drummond claimed a brace of early wickets to give Hampshire a fright at 15 for two.
However, with Simon Katich (41) supporting Carberry, the match was wrapped up with 23 balls to spare.
The sparkling Carberry finished things off with his third six and hit 20 fours in his 122-ball onslaught, with Liam Dawson adding an unbeaten 27.
Scotland's top order batsmen struggled to get going, with Josh Davey (24), Calum MacLeod (12), Jean Symes (22) and Richie Berrington (15) all failing to build an innings on a gentle batting surface.
Mommsen and Haq added some much needed aggression to make the score respectable, with the help of a generous 33 extras.
Danny Briggs was the pick of the home bowlers, taking three for 35 and dismissing Craig Wallace and Moneeb Iqbal with successive deliveries - both to leg-before decisions.
