Durham have recalled seam bowler Mitch Claydon from Kent after injuries to Mark Wood and Jamie Harrison.
Claydon, 30, has been on loan with the Division Two side for three months, taking 22 wickets in all competitions.
In addition to the loss of Wood and Harrison, Durham all-rounder Ben Stokes has been called into the England one-day international squad.
"We are grateful to Jimmy Adams and Kent for their understanding," Durham coach Jon Lewis said.
Woods, 23, has a side strain and Harrison, 22, has an ankle problem, with both players set to undergo scans to determine the severity of their injuries.
England seamer Graham Onions is fit to return to action, however, after recovering from a broken finger.
