Surrey 137-2 beat Hampshire 131-9 by eight wickets

Jason Roy smashed 63 from 25 balls to lead Surrey to a fine eight-wicket win over Hampshire in the T20 Blast.

Batting first, Hampshire limped to a below-par 131-9 at The Oval, with Chris Wood's 27 their most significant score.

In contrast, Roy blasted nine fours and three sixes as the hosts raced to 78-0 after only six overs.

Openers Roy and Tillakaratne Dilshan both fell but Kevin Pietersen struck an unbeaten 24 - his best total of the season - and Gary Wilson saw them home.

Wilson completed the victory in spectacular style, hammering a four and a six to end the game with 36 balls remaining.

Essex's win over Somerset means Hampshire move down to second in the South Group, while Surrey move up to third.
