Surrey 156-2 (17.5 overs) beat Kent 155-4 (20 overs) by eight wickets

Jason Roy hit his third successive T20 Blast half-century as Surrey beat Kent at The Oval to climb into second place in the South Group.

Darren Stevens hit an unbeaten 56 off 38 balls, while Fabian Cowdrey made 55 as Kent compiled a competitive 155-4.

But a 118-run opening stand between Roy (79) and Tillakaratne Dilshan (46) saw Surrey to an eight-wicket victory.

Ex-England batsman Kevin Pietersen made 16 not out as Surrey won with 13 balls to spare.

Surrey's victory sets them up for a battle of the top two on Friday night with leaders Essex at Chelmsford, while Kent also face a second game in 48 hours, at home to Hampshire at Canterbury.
